Masked Components

The first generation of Calypso components, the CD97 and CD Light, is no longer available.

New generations of Calypso Revision 3 products, faster, more secure, and offering compatibility modes with the previous generations, are now deployed in very large quantities, including the Calypso G1 from Gemalto,  the CD21 from STMicroelectronics, the Tango For Calypso from Paragon ID, etc.

Calypso has also defined Light and Basic specifications, and products complying with these specifications may be manufactured.

All Calypso products are manufactured under a Calypso license and require a formal certification, so that you may acquire and market them without the need for a license yourself. Note that the CD21 is accessible to all card embedders for manufacturing Calypso cards without requiring a Calypso license.

Calypso Java Applets are also accessible to benefit from the Calypso standard on a Java Card platform, allowing to add the Calypso applications to NFC mobile phones, bank cards, etc.
